Café Manager
Overview
Cork Cathedral Family of Parishes invites applications for the post of Café Manager in the Parish of SS Peter and Pauls.

Emmaus Café, a welcoming café, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Manager to lead our team and create a vibrant atmosphere for our guests.

The person appointed to this post will be aware of the ethos of Ss Peter Paul’s Parish and will respect that ethos in the discharge of their contractual duties.
Job Description
· Oversee daily operations of the cafe.
· Manage and train cafe staff.
· Ensure high standards of food quality and hygiene.
· Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
· Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
· Manage inventory and order supplies.
· Implement and enforce cafe policies and procedures.
· Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
· Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
· Schedule staff shifts and manage time and attendance for payroll department.
· Promote a positive work environment.
· Ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
· Address any operational issues promptly.
· Foster strong customer relationships.
Qualifications
• Previous managerial experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with staff and customers alike.
• A deep understanding of and commitment to core values and community service.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the café, ensuring a warm and inviting environment for all patrons.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and development to deliver excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with the team to create a menu that reflects our values, emphasizing quality, sustainability, and local sourcing.
• Plan and host community events that engage our guests and promote our mission.
• Monitor inventory, manage budgets, and uphold health and safety standards.
• Foster relationships with local parishes and community organizations to strengthen our outreach.
